Bailes Issues Friendly Challenge to All Commission Candidates

John Bailes issues friendly challenge to all commission candidates
Chattanooga, TN/July 18, 2006 ~ John Bailes, candidate for county commission in District 8, is proposing a friendly competition to all county commissioners and commission candidates.
“Let’s join together to see which district of the nine excites the most parents about Project Ready for School. Let's see who can get the highest new enrollment and take advantage of these public-private partnerships to benefit the residents of our community,” said Bailes.
“This is a way to increase pre-k preparation. Through Project Ready for School (PROS), we could use funds from Governor Bredesen's office, the Dolly Parton Foundation, and our local United Way.”
“I believe in strengthening our local programs by aggressively seeking our own grants," Bailes suggested. “But this approach will require county commissioners to pursue public-private partnerships.”
Bailes believes that we can explore other ways to find resources for Hamilton County Schools. The “jobs and schools” candidate, Bailes will continue to work hard for the people in Hamilton County.
PROS includes access to The Imagination Library that sends parents a free book every month, encouraging reading with their youngster. The program also helps parents identify children that may need medical evaluation for possible developmental delay.
Applications will be available at the Community Resource Ideas Center, a community-based center for District 8, founded by John Bailes.
