Service & Results: Opening the District 8 Community Ideas Resource Center

In Virginia Governor Kaine's response last night to President Bush's State of the Union speech, Kaine said that Democrats are all about service and results.
Service and results start at home. In my case, that's District 8~East Ridge, Brainerd, and Concord.
That's why my campaign for county commissioner has opened the Community Ideas Resource Center in District 8 at 4320 Ringgold Road in East Ridge. Last night about 20 men, women, and children attended a "State of the Union Community Gathering" at the center. Two of those people--Gail Lindsey and Joe Harmon--were quoted in the Chattanooga Times Free Press today (click here for article).
Everyone agrees that this center will serve District 8 as a meeting place for various coalition groups as well as help groups. We will serve District 8 with focus groups on education, jobs, seniors, public transportation, land/water use, etc. And the center will also provide workshops, forums, and other events each week. The center will house resources for community issues and events. Of course, the center will also be a place for campaign volunteers to work.
I want service and results in District 8! I believe that this center will provide service to our community with much better results than a billboard would on Ringgold Road. Don't you?
